Nestled along the coast near Antalya, explore one of the best-preserved stadiums of the ancient world, Aspendos. Constructed with intricate decorations and built for extraordinary acoustics, the theater of Aspendos once hosted grand attractions that held 12,000 people. Even today, because of how remarkably well preserved the site is, plays and operas are still held here. Behind the theater is a large area on the hillside, referred to as “The Great Hill,” where you can wonder about and admire the many ancient ruins and the massive aqueduct.
