Antoni Gaudí’s renowned basilica is expected to be completed in 2026 — the centennial of the artist’s death. La Sagrada Família can’t simply be described as a building. It’s a spiritual journey, an artistic expression, and a symbol of everlasting devotion. Upon entering the basilica, you’re enveloped in a symphony of light and color under the massive stained-glass windows that make a kaleidoscope of blues, greens, reds, and golds. Towering columns branch out like trees toward heaven. No matter where your eyes land, every detail is extraordinarily ornate. Yet, this feat of surrealist art and architecture is incomplete.
