As someone who holds dogs near and dear — including having two of my own — the Newfoundland dog breed represents everything one could wish for in a canine companion. There is a certain magic in the way a Newfoundland looks at you, giving a feeling of love and trust. Newfoundlands, with their shaggy coats and big hearts, are a gift to be cherished.
