Take a sobering visit to this remnant of the cold war — the Demilitarised Zone which separates North and South Korea. Military personnel provide a briefing, then tour the museum for a deeper insight into the zone’s history, and the current state of affairs. See 3rd Tunnel, the extensive underground route for mass relocation of soldiers in times of war, and stand at Dora Observatory which commands expansive views over North Korea and its propaganda village. Driving along Unification Road, the main thoroughfare between North and South, you pass Freedom Bridge, the only route to liberty after the Korean War.
